Welcome to http://www.readorium.com (the “Site”). We understand that privacy online is important to users of our Site, especially when conducting business. This statement governs our privacy policies with respect to those users of the Site (“Visitors”) who visit and make use of the various services offered by Readorium (collectively, “Services”) (“Authorized Customers”).
This refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, financial profiles, and credit card information. Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (that is, without identification of the individual user) or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.

Regarding Students Under the Age of 13: Data Collected and How it is Used
Readorium collects the following data on students who are enrolled in the program: last and first name, grade, gender, teacher and school. This information, provided by the schools, is used to enroll students in the program, track their progress as they use the program, and to generate data reports. Students select their passwords, which are not shared with anyone else. Reports of student progress are emailed to the students’ teachers and school administrators and they can access more detailed information through the online Teacher Resource Center. Student information can only be accessed by school or school district staff and by Readorium staff. Any names used in sample data reports in the Teacher Resource Center or Readorium literature, are fictional. Student information will also not be disclosed to any person or organization other than the school district or Readorium staff. Also, the student information will not be sold.
In order to comply with the requirement that schools are informed of all the COPPA notices, these notices will be accessible through Readorium’s website, Readorium.com. To conform to COPPA guidelines, Readorium will presume that the school’s authorization is based on the school’s having obtained the parent’s consent. However, as a best practice, Readorium will advise schools to consider making such notices available to parents, and consider the feasibility of allowing parents to review the personal information collected. Readorium will delete students’ personal information once the information is no longer needed for its educational purpose.

Some of these third parties may be intermediaries that act solely as links in the distribution chain, and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them.

All of our employees are familiar with our security policy and practices. The Personally Identifiable Information of our Visitors and Authorized Customers is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password in order to gain access to the information. We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, is protected by encryption protocols, in place to protect information sent over the Internet. We provide Visitors and Authorized Customers with a mechanism to delete/deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the Site’s database by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Visitor’s entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have Personally Identifiable Information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transfer, or use Personally Identifiable Information relating to that individual in any way moving forward.
